Mitragyna hirsuta is a tall tree found in parts of Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. It’s closely related to Mitragyna speciosa in Thailand it’s called kra thum khok. The plant contains a number of alkaloids but the main active constituent in Mitragyna hirsuta is Mitraphylline, which is chemically related to mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine found in Kratom (Mitragyna Speciosa).

Description
Located in areas of Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, the Mitragyna hirsuta tree is tall with broad leaves. It is very similar to Mitragyna speciosa, so it’s only natural that it has become very popular as a Kratom substitute, especially in Thailand, where it is more commonly known as Krathum. While the leaves of the tree contain numerous alkaloids, the main active ingredient in is Mitraphylline, with a chemical relation to mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, which are active ingredients in Kratom.
